The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is currently taking applications from prospective students who would like to pursue their studies at the University in 2012. Make sure you are in time to get your application in by following the deadlines below!
- Most applications close on the last Friday of October 2011 BUT.....

- Within the Facutly of Education the BEd (Educational Psychology) and MEd (Educational Psychology) close on the last Friday of July 2011 at 12pm.
- Law programmes, International students and Accommodation applications close on the last Friday of August 2011 at 12pm
- Faculty of Economic and Financial Sciences programmes close on the last Friday of September 2011 at 12pm
- Also note that courses offered by the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture usually close earlier than most because a portfolio needs to be submitted in time.
The application process is only a pre-registration process that enables the University to evaluate whether or not the prospective student meets the requirements for study at UJ. If they do not apply to study, this evaluation process cannot take place and they will not be able to register at UJ for the 2012 academic year. Note that the minimum admission point score (APS) does not guarantee a place at UJ.
UJ will inform the prospective students in writing whether or not their application for admission was approved/conditionally approved or not. There is also a facility on the UJ website to check the status of applications. Successful applicants will then be informed when to register in January 2012.
